Launch fast, refine forever
The tension between speed and quality is mostly fake. Campaigns are hypotheses; the market is the reviewer.
'Move fast' and 'build the brand carefully' get presented as opposites, and choosing between them is the founding neurosis of most marketing teams. The framing is wrong: speed and quality trade off within a campaign; they compound together across campaigns.
Launching fast is how you learn — the market grades creative, offers and audiences faster and more honestly than any internal review. Refining forever is what you do with the grades. The failure modes are the teams that do only one: perpetual-test chaos, or the perfect campaign polished for a moment that passed.
The mechanism that resolves the tension is loop speed: briefs to live in days, readouts by Friday, budget moved weekly. With loops that tight, launching early isn't risky — it's the safest thing available, because mistakes are small and reversible.
What must never be fast: the foundations. Tracking, brand positioning, list hygiene, unit economics — these are decade decisions made under week deadlines. Radical in the campaign, conservative in the substrate. That's not a compromise. It's how you get both.
